Spring Break

Ian got his Patriarchal Blessing.

Jared got his Driver's Permit.

I walked a bunch of miles. And watched a bunch of movies.

Didn't see too much of the girls. Tara dropped by one afternoon, but I had a Relief Society meeting, so we couldn't visit long. She helped me make dinner, which stressed her a little, but I was grateful. She was busy this week finishing moving in to her new condo, organizing and decorating. I should go visit her today.

Kudi was up north doing clinicals and ride alongs with the Provo fire department and Primary Children's pediatric unit. She stayed with her friend Kaitlyn, and as usual, called and asked if she could keep the car one more day. She always stays longer than planned when she visits Kaitlyn. I guess that's a good thing.

Scotty didn't get a Spring Break. His ESL class for Southwest Adult Ed met on both Monday and Wednesday night and he had a project to complete for Dixie College while computers were down for everyone else's spring break. And University of Phoenix never takes a day off. Never. Ever. (And I am sure for Scotty it feels like FOREVER and EVER.) Poor guy. I pray for him all the time, for the Lord to help him learn what he needs to, and to help him accomplish what he needs to, and to help him succeed and get the grades he wants. And that his burden will be lightened and lifted, and he won't be stressed. I'm so proud of him now, and I'll be so proud of him when he earns this Masters Degree. I think he should go on, too. "Dr. Ford." Doesn't that sound nice?

  1. I just can't get over the fact that your family is growing up! Tara has a condo? Isn't she still 10?!
What is Kudi studying? It sounds like something I would like! And is she in Provo?
And what is Scott studying and when will he be done? I bet both of you can't wait!

  2. Megan,
I'm not sure how to answer all your questions. I mean, if I answer here, will you see them? I guess I'll give it a whirl.
Tara and Kudi are renting a condo together with a friend. It's 3 bedrooms, 2/12 baths with a nice big kitchen. They are decorating it so cute and settling in. I think Tara has moved 7 times in 6 years, so hopefully she'll only have to move again when she gets married. (No, she's not dating anyone right now.) Kudi is in the Paramedic program at Dixie College. It is rigorous but she is doing well. She has to travel up to Salt Lake and down to Vegas for different clinical experiences. The E.R. at Vegas is, naturally, the wildest. Scott is getting his Master's in Adult Education and Training. He really enjoys teaching English as a Second Language classes, but he has to have his Masters to do it on a college level. It is also extremely rigorous. It is with University of Phoenix. After he started the program we found out that the completion rate for this Masters program at the University of Utah is 40%. At the University of Phoenix it is 20%. We didn't know it was going to be so hard. He will finish May of 2011. That will be a happy day.
Thanks for checking on us and "commenting". How's Young Women's going?
